About

It started with my grandfather.

I'm Matt, a Sydney-based videographer, photographer and creative producer. My grandfather gave me his video camera when I was eight, and I've been finding reasons to make things ever since. These days, I work with businesses, creators and people with something to share.

Featured project

Samui Slay

A three-part reality series, filmed with a group of creators sharing a villa on Ko Samui.

I looked after filming, direction, story development, editing and the logistics of the shoot. Days moved between sit-down confessionals, dinners, pool nights and a Muay Thai session, so the plan had to leave room for whatever happened next.

In the edit, I built each episode around the people and the moments between them, and kept it moving fast enough to hold an audience on social.

Head of Media, 2019–2024

subtle asian traits

subtle asian traits started in 2018 as a Facebook group made by a few Melbourne students. It grew into a global community of almost two million members. From 2019 to 2024, I was its Head of Media, leading video and social.

I filmed and produced work for YouTube and Instagram, from culture-led shorts to interviews and collaborations with people shaping Asian representation on screen.
